Garden Club

Every year our School plants a Community Garden.  We have raised vegetable beds, bird houses, and a butterfly garden.  This project has united our school and our community.  Throughout the summer months, the staff took turns tending to the garden and we invited community members to help out and harvest the produce as it becomes ready.

We are teaching our students how to grow their own food as well as the importance of a healthy lifestyle.  Our hands on approach to this life skill is also tying into the Science curriculum.  Our students have a growing sense of pride and commitment working together as a school community.
