Our History
Our History
The Minitonas School District erected a school in 1909 that was a two-storey, four classroom building. The building was demolished in 1953 and replaced with the Minitonas Early Years School.
Minitonas School was established in September 2018 through the amalgamation of Minitonas Early Years School and Minitonas Middle Years School. This transition brought students and staff together under one roof at 236 Main Street in Minitonas, creating a unified learning community for children and families.
Since the amalgamation, Minitonas School has continued to grow and evolve, building on the strengths and traditions of both schools. Today, the school provides a welcoming, supportive environment where students are encouraged to learn, grow, and succeed while fostering strong connections among families, staff, and the wider community.
