On September 21st, Benito School invited family, friends and community members to join us as we partiicipated in the annual Grandmother's Walk.
Traditional teachings tell us that we must prepare for the journey ahead, a new season, and a new school year. This activity has been named “grandmothers walk” because during traditional times, in that role, they were responsible for making sure that everyone was looked after.
We are celebrating the message that educators and families stand together to support our students in their journey to achieve success.
“It takes a community to raise a child”, and we walk to show our support to our students.
