On Tuesday, Manitoba Public Health confirmed a case of COVID-19 with a student who attends SVRSS.

This student was not in school during the contagious period, so there should be no chance of school transmission. In this circumstance, Public Health has advised that contact tracing is not required and there is no risk to students or staff. This student has not been in the school since April 9th.

We are providing this update because this case will be reported on the provincial COVID dashboard which records all school-aged cases. Our hope is that by keeping you informed we can help minimize any undue concern.  If you have any questions please email me at jzilkey@svsd.ca. Take care.
