Library/Educational Assistant 

Swan Valley School Division invites applications for the term position ending June 29, 2020.

Library/Educational Assistant – Heyes School - 6 hours/day: 

Criteria for applying:
Required:
- the ability to communicate effectively with staff and students 
- to assist with all facets of library operation and provide technical support to students and staff
- the willingness to become part of a cooperative working team and to respect the confidentiality        that is necessary regarding student situations and school programming
- an ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions
- experience working with the special educational needs of children
- Grade 12 diploma

Preferred:
- relevant postsecondary training
- knowledge of Digital Library technology
- computer literacy
- willingness to be flexible regarding hours of employment, at the discretion of the principal, so as to accommodate the needs of students.

Application forms are available at the Division Office.  If you have completed an application or term position in the past six months, indicate in writing if you wish to be considered.
Salary - $16.17/hour plus 4% vacation pay

Closing date: December 13, 2019 – 12:00 p.m. (Noon)

Criteria for applying –
Required:
• ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions, including technology
• willingness to become part of a cooperative working team and to respect the confidentiality that is necessary regarding student situations and school programming
• Grade 12 diploma
• ability to work well with children at all grade levels with special educational needs
• promote positive social interaction

Preferred:
• relevant postsecondary training
• experience working with children with special educational needs
• computer literacy
• willingness to be flexible regarding hours of employment, at the discretion of the principal, so as to accommodate the needs of students.
• willingness and means to travel to outlying community schools in Benito, Bowsman, and Minitonas.
