INFORMATION

1. All coaches must be familiar with and follow rules included in the
MHSAA Provincial Championship Handbook and Fastball Rule Book.

2. The schedule of games is included in your coach package.
Please arrive at your diamond well in advance of game time.

3. All games prior to semis and finals are five innings with mercy rule in effect after three innings.
Semi and Final games are seven innings with the mercy rule in effect after five innings.

4. Teams will be permitted one five minute infield warm-up per day prior to their first game.
There is plenty of open space around the park for later games.

5. Line-up cards should be completed and submitted to the scorekeeper ten minutes prior to game time.

6. Home team will be determined by a coin toss.

7. All games tied after regular innings will be broken using the International Tie Breaker Rule to declare a winner.

8. At the conclusion of round robin play the following will be used to break a three way tie:
Difference PLUS or MINUS of total runs scored , with a limit of 7 PLUS or MINUS per game allowed.
Note that games concluded with 1/2 innings will revert to last completed inning.
a) if teams are still tied, then the total runs scored in all games will be used. If still tied, then:
b) Total bases touched in all games will be used. If still tied, then
c) positions will be settled by a coin toss

9. Any player, coach or manager ejected from a game by the umpire must leave the park.
That individual can rejoin for subsequent games providing no further suspension has been levied by the Protest Committee.

10. Any protest must be dealt with by the Protest committee at the time, before game continues.

11. Any game or procedure not covered by the above will be clarified and ruled upon by the Tournament Protest Committee.
No appeals beyond will be heard.

12. In the event of rain, the tournament format may be adjusted by the host committee.
New schedules / formats would be available at the Tournament Headquarters in the Legion Park.
