ESRSS CANADIAN PARENTS FOR FRENCH (SWAN RIVER)

In Attendance: Kelli Riehl, Lucie Lachapelle, Charlene Behrman, Carla Lund, Jackie Madinsky-Arp, Cheryl Leblanc, Carmel Cullen, Chris Chmelowski

AGENDA:

1)Financial Review:

            Documents were reviewed as presented.

2)Newspaper Submissions:

The newspaper submissions are finished and Keli now needs to send in a report to CPF about them.

3)Hot Lunches:

Ideas are needed for next year.  A survey will go out with the Subway order form to find out what parents thought of the hot lunches this year and what they would like to see for next year.

4)Canteen for Journee Sportif:

The canteen will be open from 1 – 3:30pm for grades M – 5.  The canteen will be a separate station that the children will stop at.  Carla will purchase the food and Chris and Carmel will be working at it on June 11.

5)Camp Soleil:

The children that attend camp will be putting together a float for the rodeo parade.    All French Immersion students are invited to ride the float and then return to ESRSS for lunch.

6)June Meeting:

The next meeting will be June 21 at 7:00pm.  All French Immersion parents are invited to help enrich and grow the French Immersion program.

7)Admin Report:

A big Thank You from Lucie for the $500 toward the fiddling program.

June 4 – interviews for new French Immersion staff member; a member of ESRSS CPF is allowed to sit in on the interviews

June 11 – Journee Sportif

June 25 – Grade M – 8 fun day and school wide barbeque

June 28 – Awards will be presented in the morning and each class gets to do their own thing in the afternoon

ESRSS and the high school will be submitting applications for SEVEC

8)Misc.: Chris Chmelowski was selected as the member of the ESRSS CPF to participate in the interviews for the new French Immersion staff member.

Next meeting will be June 21, 2010 – 7pm at ESRSS.
